PBA Bowling at the Virgin River Casino Lanes Was a Blast!

What a hidden gem the Virgin River Casino bowling center in Mesquite, Nevada is!

The PBA has discovered it, holding the PBA West Virgin River Regular/Senior Doubles event there August 6-8. Remarkably, the local team of Kerry Painter (Henderson) and David Haynes (Las Vegas) took the title. The match was televised and is currently on the TVS Television Network, which includes TVS Sports.Com. Broadcast stations include KLAS-TV8 in Las Vegas and KTSP-TV 13 in Salt Lake City.

Virgin River Lanes Manager Gary Higashi did a fabulous job with the venue, and the tv production was supurb. KLAS-TV 8 sports director Chris Maathuis is always a class act, and the color commentators were eclectic and fabulous! Hall of Fame bowler Wendy Macpherson made her broadcasting debut as did UNLV Head Bowling Coach Joey Shugart.

Virgin River Casino Hotel owner Randy Black is a big fan of both bowling and Mesquite, Nevada, so you can expect to see a lot more great national bowling events at the Virgin River lanes.
